DECLAMATION
In this event, students memorize and perform a speech already delivered for a real audience by a real person. They embody the spirit of the speech (though they do not imitate delivery style or mannerisms). The category continues the oral tradition and celebrates the rich library of speeches past and present. The event is for all Junior Speech student (grades 4-8) and for Senior Speech students in grades 9 and 10 only.
